Support work with people you get to know
Good support is steady support. We build small teams around each person and keep them together, so the people we support see familiar faces and you get to know them well.

How we work
Why work with Manora Care
Small, steady teams
Each person has a small group of workers who know them. You work with the same people week after week, rather than a new face every shift.
Matched, not allocated
We match workers to people on what matters to them: interests, language, pace and personality. A good match makes the work better for both of you.
The person leads
The people we support decide how their support works. Our job, and yours, is to learn how they like things done and help them build the life they want.
The work
What support work involves
All of our workers are support workers. The work looks different in each of our three services.
Supported Independent Living
Supporting people with daily life in a shared or single home: routines, meals, personal care, the household, and the things each person wants to get better at. Shifts follow a roster built around the people who live there.
About Supported Independent LivingIn-home support
Visiting people in their own home, or their family home, at set times: personal care, household tasks and building skills. You become one of a small number of familiar faces.
About in-home supportCommunity participation
Getting out with people to the things they enjoy and want to try: sport, classes, work, friends, getting around. One to one, or in a small group.

Before you start
What every worker needs
These apply to anyone working in an NDIS risk-assessed role, which includes most hands-on support work.
An NDIS Worker Screening Check
A national check of whether a person poses a risk to people with disability. You apply through the worker screening unit in your state or territory, and a cleared check can be used with any NDIS provider.
The NDIS Worker Orientation Module
“Quality, Safety and You” is a free online module from the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission. It explains the NDIS Code of Conduct and what it means in day-to-day work.
Expression of interest
Register your interest
We are not advertising roles right now. Tell us a little about you, and we will be in touch when work that suits you comes up. We reply promptly.
What we ask, and what we do not
We ask only for what we need to start a conversation. There is no resume upload, and we do not ask for your date of birth or your history here.
Not having a Worker Screening Check yet is fine. Tell us where you are up to.
Questions
Questions about working with us
Are you hiring right now?
We are not advertising roles right now. You can still send an expression of interest, and we will be in touch when work that suits you comes up.
Do I need an NDIS Worker Screening Check before I apply?
No. You can send an expression of interest without one. Workers in NDIS risk-assessed roles need a cleared check, and you apply for it through the worker screening unit in your state or territory. When we offer you a role, we give you our employer details for your application.
What is the Worker Orientation Module?
“Quality, Safety and You” is a free online module from the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission. It explains the NDIS Code of Conduct and what it means for your work. You can complete it on the NDIS Commission website.
Can I say which kind of support work I would like?
Yes. Tell us in the form which of our three services interest you and when you could usually work.
