Pricing
Pricing you can check for yourself
How NDIS pricing works, what changes a price, and what can and cannot be charged. Every price we give you is set against the NDIS Pricing Schedule 2026–27, in writing, before anything starts.

The basics
How NDIS pricing works
The National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) runs the NDIS. The Australian Government sets the most a provider can charge for each support, on advice from the NDIA. These maximums are called price limits, and they are published in the NDIS Pricing Schedule 2026–27.
The Government sets the limit
Each support has a price limit. It can differ by the time of day, the day of the week and how the support is delivered.
Providers charge up to it
For NDIA-managed and plan-managed funding, a provider can charge up to the price limit, never above it. A price can be lower than the limit.
You see it in writing
Your service agreement lists each support and its price, so you can check it against the Pricing Schedule yourself.
What changes a price
Four things move the price of an hour
The same hour of support can have a different price limit depending on when and how it happens. These are the things to look for on any quote.
Time of day
Daytime, evening and night support each have their own price limit.
Day of the week
Weekdays, Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays are priced differently.
Shared or one to one
Shared support means one worker supports more than one person at the same time, such as in a shared home or a small group. Each person pays a share, worked out under the NDIS rules.
Overnight support
Active overnight support, where a worker is awake and working, is different from a sleepover, where a worker sleeps at the home and is there if needed.
Day types the NDIA distinguishes
Price limits are set separately for each of these. The exact times for each day type are set in the NDIS pricing rules. Ask us and we will show you.
| Day type | In plain words |
|---|---|
| Weekday daytime | Monday to Friday, during the day |
| Weekday evening | Monday to Friday, in the evening |
| Weekday night | Monday to Friday, overnight |
| Saturday | Any time on a Saturday |
| Sunday | Any time on a Sunday |
| Public holiday | Any time on a public holiday |
No surprises
What can be charged, and what cannot
Some costs sit around the support itself, such as a worker's travel or a shift you cancel at short notice. These follow the NDIS rules, and they must be written into your service agreement. We explain exactly how travel and cancellations are charged before you sign.
Can be charged, if it is in your agreement
- The support you agreed to, at or below the price limit
- Provider travel, where the NDIS rules allow it and you have agreed to it
- Short notice cancellations, only as the NDIS rules allow and as your agreement explains
- Anything else only if the NDIS rules allow it and it is written in your agreement first
What we will not charge
- More than the price limit for NDIS-funded support
- An enquiry, a first conversation or a meet and greet
- Anything that is not in your service agreement
- Rent, food or bills to your SIL funding. SIL pays for support only
Your plan
How your plan budget works
An NDIS plan groups funding into budgets. Your plan shows how much is in each one, and whether it can be used flexibly. If anything in it is unclear, your support coordinator, plan manager or the NDIA can explain it, and so can we.
Core supports
Help with everyday life: personal care, household tasks, and getting out into the community. In many plans this budget can be used flexibly across its categories. Some supports, such as Supported Independent Living (SIL), are often set for a particular purpose. Your plan says which.
Capacity Building
Funding to build skills and independence over time, such as learning to cook, travel or manage money, or support coordination. It is generally used for the purpose written in your plan and cannot be moved to Core supports.
Capital supports
Funding for things like assistive technology, home modifications and Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA), which is housing. It is kept separate from the support you get day to day.
How your supports are paid depends on how your plan is managed. Read how NDIA-managed, plan-managed and self-managed plans work.
Hours planner
Plan your week in hours
Add each support you get or want, the day type it happens on, and the hours in a typical week. The planner adds it up by week and by year, and breaks it down by day type. It is a tool for a planning conversation, not a quote, and it does not show prices.
Nothing you enter leaves this page. It is not saved or sent to us.
Work out your hours by hand
The interactive planner needs JavaScript. You can do the same thing on paper in a few minutes:
- Write down each kind of support you get or want, for example in-home support or community participation.
- For each one, write the hours in a typical week, split by day type: weekday daytime, weekday evening, weekday night, Saturday, Sunday and public holidays. Note any active overnight or sleepover support separately.
- Add up the hours for each day type, then add those together for your weekly total.
- Multiply the weekly total by the number of weeks you expect support (52 for a full year).
Bring your notes to a planning meeting, or ask us to work it out with you.
Questions
Pricing questions, answered
Is talking to you free?
Yes, an enquiry or first conversation costs nothing, and there is no commitment.
Do you charge above the price limit?
No. For NDIA-managed and plan-managed funding, prices cannot be above the price limits, and we do not charge above them for anyone.
Why are your rates not on this page?
Our rates are not published here yet. Until they are, you get every price in writing, set against the price limits, before you agree to anything. You can ask us for them at any time.
Can a price be lower than the price limit?
Yes. A price limit is the most a provider can charge for a support. Prices can be lower, and you are always welcome to ask.
Does the hours planner tell me what my support will cost?
No. It adds up hours only, so you can see how your week looks by day type. Cost depends on the day type, the kind of support and the rules in the Pricing Schedule, and we explain it with you before you sign.
Does SIL pay for rent, food or bills?
No. Supported Independent Living pays for support only. Rent, food, bills and other day-to-day living costs are paid separately, in the same way anyone pays them.
What if my funding looks like it will run out?
Tell us early. We will look at your hours with you, and with your support coordinator if you have one. Only the NDIA can change what is in your plan, and we can help you prepare for that conversation.
Ask us to walk you through a price.
Tell us the support you are thinking about and we will show you how it would be priced against the NDIS Pricing Schedule 2026–27. We reply promptly, and talking costs nothing.
